Costs
In a world where transport plays a significant role in economic activities and the movement of goods and people professional driving skills are increasingly becoming an indispensable asset. However, acquiring this skill isn't affordable. It is necessary to be aware of a range of costs, such as the cost for training and the test. In the Netherlands getting Code 95 may cost as nearly 3000 euros. Fortunately, the expenses associated with the process of acquiring this certificate are much lower in Poland, where they can be as low as 1500 to 2000 PLN.
In Europe, truck drivers need a Code 95 Certificate to drive trucks that weigh more than 7.5 tonnes. The certificate is valid for five years and must be added to the driver's license category C or C+E. The certificate can be added to C1 or C1E licences, allowing the driver to drive with lighter trailer combinations.
To obtain a Code 95 certificate, you must take a medical exam and take a psychotest. After completing the course you will receive the plastic Code 95 Certificate that can be added to your driving license. The price of the course includes a medical examination, PKZ service, payment for the plastic Code 95 certificate, and theoretical lessons.
The cost of a Code 95 Certificate is the same as other types of driving courses. Trainers must notify the CBR in the event, for example the student is absent.
After the course, the participant must go to the Road Traffic Safety Directorate to apply for a new licence. The deadline for renewing the licence is six months from the date of completion of the course. This is to make sure that a driver has the required level of competence and knowledge required to operate a heavy-duty vehicle. Additionally, the driver must also be able to read kilometer and speed limit signs posted on the road.
Training options
The code 95 on a driver's license indicates that you have completed the necessary instruction to drive buses or trucks professionally. This is a requirement you must meet every five years to renew your permit. The regular training is 35 hours of classes and can be taken at the driving school or at home (e-learning). It is possible to spread the training over a period of five years. The course is usually paid for by your employer.
There are two types of training for Code 95: the long course and the short. The long course lasts for about four weeks, and it concludes with a governmental test. After passing the exam you will receive the card in the form of a plastic. The card must be entered into the database of unification European certificates. The institution you attended will then submit the card to the database. The card will be processed within 14 days.
The cost of the long course is around 2 000 PLN. The exam costs 300 PLN. You'll also need to pay a fee to the school to submit your certificate to the unified European database. Once your card is accepted you can take it from the school.
As trainers you must follow the guidelines to be able offer a course that issues Code 95. First, you must submit a plan of training to the CBR. This plan must be approved by the CBR before classes begin. Additionally, you will need to follow a number of other strict guidelines during the course.
You will receive a certificate from the CBR once you have successfully completed the course. This certificate can be submitted to the RDW. You will then be able renew your license at the municipality after you have submitted your application successfully. Exams
In order to obtain the code 95 designation on your licence, you must pass both theoretical and practical tests. These exams can either be taken separately or in conjunction with the acquisition of a basic category licence at a driving school. After passing the exams, you will receive a certificate as well as a code 95 card. The card is valid for 5 years, and must be renewed before the expiration date.
You can choose between either a short or a lengthy course for the exam code 95 depending on the course of study. The long course is about four weeks in length and concludes with a test administered by the government. In this test you will have to answer 30 questions about the subjects you learned in your classes.
After passing the code 95 exam, you must follow 35 hours of periodic training (nascholing) every five years. This can be done in the country where you live or where you work. The training sessions are conducted with an instructor. The CBR has an online tool to find an instructor. You will receive a confirmation from both your teacher and CBR once you have completed the course. The CBR will notify the RDW of your completion.
You must also be equipped with a digital tachograph for vehicles that weigh over 3,500 kg. The tachograph records driving times and breaks, and saves these on an tracker. The largest driving licence in Europe is the C-license. In the Netherlands, the requirement is that you pass the initial qualification for professional drivers at the Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing (Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen, or CBR,
B1 Prawo jazdy in Dutch). You must also undergo an exam for medical conditions.
For passenger vehicles and buses, you must also hold an driving license C or D. Bus drivers must pass both a written and oral test. Additionally, they must possess a code 85, which is a document that proves their professionalism.
Requirements

In 2011, a new type of license for trucks and buses was introduced. This is a laminated driving licence card that is similar to the European driving license card. It includes the driver's photo and name (in Latin or Cyrillic) along with the date and location of issue, the categories allowed, and the signature. The older credit-card-style and booklet-style licences are no longer issued.
